History

The Central University of Rajasthan was among the 15 new Central Universities established by the Government of India during the 11th Five-Year Plan period (2007–2012) with the goal of increasing access to higher education across the country. It was initially set up with a temporary campus in Kishangarh before moving to its permanent campus in Bandarsindri, Ajmer district, in 2013.
